Dr. Yolanda Muñoz

University of McGill

Dr. Yolanda Muñoz is a co-founder of the Disability-Inclusive Climate Action Research Programme and helped established its outreach and policy advocacy activities and collaborations. She is an Associate Member of the McGill Centre for Human Rights & Legal Pluralism and a Faculty Lecturer at the McGill Institute for Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies. She has more than 25 years of experience advocating for the rights of people with disabilities in Mexico, Quebec, and at the international level. She has worked as a consultant in inclusive development for the Inter-American Development Bank and served for four years as Program Officer at the Disability Rights Fund and the Disability Rights Advocacy Fund, which has supported the implementation of the UNCRPD in more than 26 countries. She has collaborated with the Global Greengrants Fund to promote anti-ableist grant-making practices since 2018, and she is currently the Coordinator of the Disability Rights & Climate Justice Advisory Board.
